An Authorisations Officer of the Securities Commission of the Bahamas, Crystal M. McClain is both diligent and committed to the profession. She has devoted most of her career to the financial services sector within the Bahamas for the last twenty four years. She has extensive experience in Retail Banking where she has assumed the responsibilities of various positions in both the client facing and back office departments of a number of the Commercial Banks in the Bahamas. She has also been exposed to Offshore Banking and she is presently expanding her knowledge in Capital Markets.
Crystal commenced her tertiary education at the College of the Bahamas, where she received an Associate’s Degree in Banking and a Diploma in Banking from the Bahamas Institute of Bankers. She furthered her education by completing her Bachelor’s Degree at Nova Southeastern University. She is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practioners (STEP), where she successfully earned her Diploma in International Trust. She is presently enrolled with the CFA Institute where she is studying to sit the CFA Investment Foundations examination. Crystal is also bilingual where she speaks Spanish on an Intermediate level.
In addition, Crystal is an entrepreneur, where she is the owner of Solemates, an online ladies shoe boutique. She is also a member of the Financial Board of the Grants Town Wesley Methodist Church.
