The Board of Directors has the executive control and management of the affairs of the Fund, and exercise and perform the functions, powers and duties of the Fund on its behalf, and are responsible for its effective and efficient administration.
The Board of Directors may include a maximum of eleven Directors from the Government and civil society, including but not limited to, representatives of national, international and local non-governmental organizations, tertiary, research and scientific organizations and the private sector. Every member of the Board of Directors must bring experience and expertise in at least one of the following areas – ecological science, protected areas management, biodiversity conservation, finance, law, marketing, investment management, fundraising, grant-writing or such other area deemed necessary by the Board.
