Marcia D. Musgrove has served as the Director of Northern Caribbean Program (NCP) of The Nature Conservancy (TNC) since October 2022. She is responsible for leading TNC’s portfolio of work and staff in The Bahamas, as well as any emerging activities in the Turks & Caicos Islands. whilst helping As NCP Director, she also ensures that the organization’s efforts align with national priorities for the benefit of people and nature. She previously served in the role of Policy Advisor from 2016 – 2022.

Marcia is a conservation professional with more than twenty years of experience working across the areas of policy & advocacy, government relations, project design & management, stakeholder engagement, capacity-building, education & outreach, and organizational development. Since joining TNC, she led the program’s marine protected areas strategy, providing technical support to the Government of The Bahamas to achieve its marine protection goals under the Caribbean Challenge Initiative. She also co-developed and led TNC’s climate adaptation strategy and serves as a member of the National Climate Change Committee to support development and implementation of climate policy.

Marcia is a nature-lover with a strong appreciation for Bahamian heritage and culture. When she is not working, Marcia enjoys journaling, visual & performing arts, helping & encouraging people and spending time with family and friends.
