An experienced technologist with more than 30 years in operations or leadership roles in technology.
Marcus is Founder and President of Southworth Consultants, a technology firm started in 2000, focused on driving digital transformation for its clients. Prior to the founding of Southworth, he was the senior networking engineer and team leader at another local technology firm.
Marcus’ focus is private and public cloud technology buildouts and the use of the technology to support his client’s business goals, particularly managing digital transformation. His focus is on maximizing the utilization and leverage of private cloud technology for his client’s needs. Marcus was a member of the Digital Transformation Council for Hewlett Packard Enterprise Caribbean Region, which was centered on supporting HPE’s understanding and delivery of the needs of regional clients.
He was born in Nassau, The Bahamas and educated both here and in Quebec, Canada. Marcus always had a strong foundation in technology, working in the computer lab while at high school in Canada, and building his first computer at age nine.
Marcus also has a passion for youth social development and serves locally as a director and coach for both rugby and soccer in The Bahamas. He has promoted and fundraised to allow young people to experience the world through sports and have taken soccer youths to Spain and the United Kingdom.
